Carol got to celebrate her Birthday in Iraq! We sent her a bunch of goodies and the folks she works with surprised her with a cake!

Carol is getting to leave Tikrit and head out to Balad (which is a little north of Bagdhad). Since her replacement is already on the ground in Tikrit she will be taking command of the RCC Balad office.

Send me to Mama!!!!

K wanted me to send her to Mama yesterday. I told her it would take too long and Mama was coming home soon anyway. We hope to get Carol back here sometime in mid-August!

Welcome Princess!

Carol helped pick out a little pony for Ks upcoming birthday. Yesterday, Princess (Sugar to her previous owner) joined our herd. K was very happy. We were lucky and Carol was able to join by phone and participate. We also took lots of pictures and video of the event.

Carol made it back to Tikrit safely. She will be pinning on her next rank (LTC) on 1 May. Additionally we got news that she will take command of a contracting battalion in the June 2009 time frame. We are so very proud of her. The picture shows Carol and another MAJ (Christine). There's a sand storm going on around them, but they don't let that get them down!

Carol's Mid Tour Leave!

Our family got to spend an absolutely AWESOME couple of weeks with Carol as she came home on Mid-Tour leave for Easter and the kids' spring vacation!

Mama came to visit!!!

Pooh decided to wake up and spend some time with Carol while she was home. We all enjoyed her visit.

Poor Winnie the Pooh. She won't get up until Carol comes home. Good thing for her it looks like Carol will be coming home on mid-tour leave the second half of March.

Carol was selected as a primary for the Command Selection List. This means she will get offered a Battalion level command! We are all very proud of her!

Once again, Carol has had the fortune to link up with Bob, the crazy tanker/light infantry dude. In case you can't tell, Carol is the shorter of the two and is not wearing sunglasses. They are posing outside of Carol's new office building.
